Goal of life.

It has been a while since my last blog. While today I am going to discuss about the goal in life.

Very often I find myself lack of motivation. Well, some books said defining the goal in life would help, while others said a time table would be necessary.

When, I close my eye, and imagine how a dream life would appear. I can see myself driving a hummer, in front of my bungalow, waiting for my remote controlled gate to open. I am wearing this pearl while doctor lap coat, as I just return, after a busy day of work in hospital. Just beneath the lap coat, I am wearing the branded formal attires with a Parker fountain pen in my pocket. My house would be equipped with comprehensive biometric security system that's computerized and keyless.

As I enter my house, the big ass LED Sony tv and Osim Massage sofa are waiting for me in my fully Panasonic air conditioned living room that is also equipped with the most sophisticated Sony sound system.

As I enter the study room, there are books on the shelf, Allen ware desktop on the table, a razor gaming mouse and beat monster headphone next to it.

For the bed room, nothing much special from the look, but when the lights out, it switch to cinema mode. I can lay on the bad, at the same time watching the latest blockbuster BD movie over the projector screen on the ceiling.

When people see me in my casual wear, I can be easily recognized, with my nike shoe and outfits, apple Iphone, Bluetooth headset, Adidas sunglasses, Casio triple sensor watch, pierre cardin back pack, body glove pencil case, lather wallet, holding a Lenovo w-series laptop, and a Nikon DSLR hanging on my neck.

Apparently, I have dream just like anybody else: driving luxury car, living in big house, wearing branded outfits, equipped with latest electronic. No doubts, human are simply materialistic. But what tells us apart is just the brand of item, the location of the big house, and the manufacturer of the luxury car.

Even if I were wealthy enough, there are things would still preserve, such as: download free movie and mp3, cracking software to use, cooking Maggie every now and then, buying pirated game disc, and using cheat engine to play games.

At last I would summaries the approximate cost for such living:

One million for house, half million for car, 10 thousand each big ass tv, laptop and desktop, 1 thousand each headphone, hand phone, few hundred each backpack, sunglass, pair of shoe, and watch,

Although, it seems impossible, freaking insanity, yet that's what motivated and inspired me behind my perspiration and respiration. Now, I found some excuse (for $$) and reason (for $$) to move on.

Why the riches get richer, while the poor get poorer?

Redistribution of wealth starts from you and me (consumer).

Do you ever wonder why the riches get richer while the poor get poorer? This question suddenly wondered me just now when I am having my chicken rice in the newly opened chicken rice restaurant. Initially, I ask myself why I chose the newly opened one instead of the other restaurants that I used to eat. There are various reasons I found after I did few minute of thinking.

Firstly, I want to setup a more competitive market by supporting new brands on the shelves. This can remind all existing brands to improve their qualities and while maintaining their reasonable price. (I don't want to be long-winded on this point as you may know more than me what the importance is.)

Secondly, I don't like existing brands to over dominating the market. As a result, this can induce a situation whereby everyone has to work for them, because no one can compete with them as the consumers only recognized their brand. In turn, this is a direct picture of the boss get richer while people become poorer as they have to be his worker, which we don't like to see. Besides, dominating brand may be too proud of themselves while setting very high prices for their product and make consumers to pay through their nose.

In addition, we don't want to see anyone holding too much of the money which prevent it from flowing. In fact, the total money available in this world is limited. So if a few people are to be too rich, they will prevent their money from flowing and break the cycle. The economy can only be promoted is the money is flowing and cycling between one person to another. Every person can able to spend certain amount of money; any addition money that he earns beyond what he can spend will become his saving. In fact saving is bad for the economy because if everyone is saving all their money, then no one will go buy anything and in turn everyone have no business. On the other hand, if everyone spent their money, then everyone have better business. When business is better, then everyone can earn more, and then they can spend more. If they spent more, then the businesses get even better. Apparently, economy is all about the speed of cycling of the money from everyone to everyone but not anyone to dominate it.

Furthermore, I have seen movies that illustrating this ideology. In the story, they have to elect for the leader for the black market every 2 years. It is their traditions to elect a new leader every time, while the ex-leader has to retire. So the last leader wants to continue to be the leader for the second election, but the elderly tell him to let go, because he was elected last time for the same reason that is to maintain the balance and avoid any dominator in their black market.

Moreover, this can be easily done without much effort, on the consumer point of view. Although it can be easily done, however its collective effect is very significant. Also, this can reduce boredom of life by trying out and monitoring the growth of new brand.

In conclusion, consumer should support new brands as it can setup more competitive market, prevent dominating brand, and prevent any people that’s holding too much of the money to break the economy cycle. If the products of new brand do not taste too bad, why not give them a try. It is time to change. We should take turn to be rich. If we give this opportunity to others, certainly one day we can have our turn and opportunity.

Fate that reject electronics in my life

It’s been a while since my last post. I barely remember I have a blog, because many events had happen recently.

When I recorded the recent events on to my dairy, I realize there are general pattern and sequence for most if not all these events that happen. This reminded me of fate or destiny that some people believe all events happen are neither coincident nor random. They believed all have been designated, planned, and arranged to happen to fulfill the fate and destiny of people. Initially I was uncertain about it but neither did I doubt it, because hypotheses are never wrong unless proven to be wrong or otherwise.

I am very surprise for those unpredicted and unanticipated things that had happen these days.

Let me show the general trend and pattern of thing that happen. Surprisingly, many electrical and electronic things had suddenly not working the way they used to be.

The first electrical thing to breakdown is the car. The first failure was on 23 of march, where it suddenly fainted at Lintas parking lot, and couldn't start. Eventually, a friend of my father helps out and repaired for RM100. Immediately, on the second day, it failed to start again. I am very touched when my female friend Picit, came by with his brother and jump start my car. They had recommend me to Automotive Electronic Technology for further service. That's the second attempt to repair, paid for about RM175 (forgotten, so not sure). It work well for few weeks. However, today morning it failed to start again. I am frustrated. Luckyly when I call the guy, he came and jump start and repaired it for the third attempt, paid for RM111. Hopefully it would be the last attempt. This thing never happen when it was in Sandakan for it had been working fine and never failed to start for like the past 10 years. Now when I take over, I fail 3 time within a month.

Secondly is the sudden death of my beloved Nokia Express Music earphone. It was happen on 24^th of march, the second day after the first breakdown of my car. It happen in the middle of the way walking back from Damai. The problem is the right earphone went silent. I was very terrified and shock because, it never happen before. It worried me the most for I am not certain whether it's the problem with the phone or the earphone. Once I reached home, I tested it with my Sony headphone, it turn out to be working. So I am certain that it is the earphone that damaged. I exam in detail and observed that there are areas on the plug that used to be gold plated but now the gold paint went off, I think that's why it cannot conduct signal very well now. I am very sad even now, because it is very rare earphone that can produce very deep and clear bass. It used to accompany me when I was alone. I treasure it very much as I always keep it in my pocket wherever I go. It is such a waste as all its component is working perfectly despite that gold paint that went off. I had an idea to electroplate it again by myself using CuSO4, but just worried the current flow may affect or damage the speaker in it, so I never dare to try it out.

Last week end was not so easy for me as the air conditioner in my room is officially dead. My mom realize the aircon was not cold enough weeks ago. She is right, the aircon had become not working later. Luckyly, Mr wong, landlord were very efficient and repaired it on Monday. Now my room is very cold as if there were snow building up in my room.

In addition, today my laptop charger beeping suddenly for the first time, and producing spark sound on touching it. Although, later it work well after I disconnect and reconnect it again, but this is a bad sign for it may fail at any moment from now.

Apparently, I don't have the fate to work together with electrics and electronics. Initially, I was uncertain about the prediction from Chinese oracle in the radio that said 2011 will not be a prosperity year for the goat year’s baby. But now I don't have the options to choose to believe or not to, but I will have to bare the consequence and pay the cost for repairing those electronics. Sadly, I did nothing wrong but things fail by themselves one after another. Even if all else failed, hopefully I will not failed myself in my life.

Trouble deciding which coffee to order?

I am standing in front of the casher, staring at the menu, and answering “Err… Ar…”, to buy myself some extra time to read the list of coffee again. While there is a long line of people behind me, who I can feel their impatient, when some of them shake their legs, while the others extend their head to peek at me or lift their arms to check their watches. I am stressed and embarrassed on my indecisiveness. Eventually, I randomly order one that sound familiar to me.

This is the scene in the Coffee bean or Starbucks I have experienced by myself. Does the situation sound familiar to you also? I believe I am not alone, when it comes to the inability to tell the coffee apart.

I found that despite all their fancy name, in fact coffee actually only differ in two features which is the amount of milk and foam contained. Here is the list quote from wikihow.

•             If you want just a dab of foam, you want a Macchiato (mock-e-ah-to).

•             One part foam and one part milk is a 'Cappuccino'.

After we understand the type of coffee, it is time for us to shortlist a few coffee of our choice, in case if we could not memorize the list. Personally, i would like to have a latte or a mocha. I don't like the foam very much. In fact, having a coffee of choice not only save our face when giving order, but it also make us appeared more confident and man. So, this is a must for guys to look cool. Because, I believe almost every outing we face problem on what to eat. Thus, guys that able to decide is a sure turn-on for girls.

I wish I could eat less,
I wish there would be less day in this month,
I wish Malaysia Rm could be higher value in currency exchange,

Intra-personal

Apparently, my fear to write still scare the hell out of me and keep me procrastinated for few days. Is it the willpower that has overwhelm my fear and to start writing now? No… Then what? Surprisingly, my loneliness and boredom has just initiated my writing spirit. I don't know how long can it go, but I hope it would build up my momentum.

I find it very hard to extract any funny portion or interesting story in my life to share. This might be another stumbling block or obstacle in my writing. I have nothing to write and share about. I have ever tried to analyze the roots of problem. The result is still unproven but could it be my dull personality. Or could it be that I have very few friends around me, thus I could not gain sufficient access and exposure to others’ hair-rising story and funny ramous. Either way, I just couldn't be funny and humorous enough to have gravity around me. Very often, i envy and admire (in a positive manner) people with strong enough gravity for both keeping old acquaintances and establishing new social networks.

Nothing Intra-personal

Recently I am looking for new gaming mouse with Rm200 budgets. What feature that I am looking for? Work on both wire and wireless. Laser tracking engine with at least 3000dpi. 2 or more macro enable-buttons, despite the 3 primary buttons. I consider these quite basic requirements for a mediocre gaming mouse. Razer Orochi, bleeding-edge of gaming mouse family turns out to be very compatible with my needs, however it worth Rm299, far beyond my affordability. A quite disappointing result. I did look for other alternatives. Apple magic mouse, Rm229 (affordable), but reviews said the top plastic panel can easily scratch and will be heart brokering if I happen to have one.

Also, one very fascinating phase that I have seen these few days, “Bleeding-edge of something”. I have try to use fit them in the above writing. I find it very funny because we used to say cutting-edge of technology, now bleeding-edge of technology is more that cutting-edge because, bleeding is more critical, it is not just simple cut, it has already cut and it is bleeding; IT IS BLEEDING. I hope you could experience my obsessed feeling over the phase bleeding-edge of technology. It is just beyond words.

Fresh new start

From today onward, I am going to start blogging. Others may ask why do I resume blogging all of a sudden for i have blogs that has already been abandon for months and years. For all my previous post I have been blogging about some books and article that might be interesting but they are all cut and past. I have been fear to write on personal staff in the past and even now. But today, I found a very Interesting book named Write To The Point in IS (Institute Sinaran) library. It said that we fear of writing because we are too perfectionistic and fear of others criticism. Indeed, I found the source of problem that keeps me procrastinating in my writing. No one is prefect, so why should I over concerned about the quality of my writings. For my entire life, perhaps I have written thousands of academic essays and scientific articles, but nothing personal. I guess that is why I could not communicate effectively through writing. So, now I’ll give my-self a chance to write for my own. To overcome the fear of writing.
Worries about my IELTS band is the second excuses I convince my-self to finally sit down to start typing.
Furthermore, living along as a nerd have much to share and have no one to share to. This is pathetic, but it is true.
At any rate all my blog would rather serve as personal diary and read at your own risk. I have no responsibility if any reader topples from the chair as he fall asleep from reading my dull blogs.
